Corpse Fiend Dentist

Michael Mastromarino, a Philadelphia area oral surgeon, had been caught for acting as a ring leader in a corpse theft organization which involved several of the area funeral homes beginning in 2001. Mastromarino has been working with the funeral directors to harvest reusable body parts from the recently deceased and selling them illegally to tissue banks, hospitals, and even denture makers. Procedures using the stolen corpses have been performed throughout the U.S. and Canada by unknowing doctors. If you've had a anything from a hip replacement to dental implant since 2001, be afraid. Be very afraid.

Vintage Metal Cup

This ebay auction certainly qualifies for The Web is Weird. It is a rare vintage anti-masturbatory cup that was given to boys to prevent nocturnal emissions. The price is high but he auction promises a rare piece of conservative history that has now become extinct in our modern culture. All I can think is, "OMG that must be COLD!" Check out the auction HERE.

Kid's Book on Hallucinogens

This early 1990's children's book on the dangers of hallucinogens is full of hilarious imagery that attempts to warn kids of the dangers of hallucinogenic substances. The book appears to be targeted towards a 9 year old but contains info on lsd, shamans, and brain chemistry in a "my first reader" format. Very strange but the pictures are priceless. Check out the full article and additional pictures @ SILVER JACKET.
Those friends above are total jerks! This poor kid is obviously freakin' out and they're smiling and waving at him!

Hillary Clinton's Campaign Music

Hillary Clinton has been using a controversial song in her campaign by Golden Earring called "When the Lady Smiles." The music video for the song includes disturbing imagery of a nun getting raped and the attacker's brain being eaten by a dog. It's really weird and really creepy. Something tells me that Hillary has never seen this video. However, in her defense I'm not sure very many people out there even know this video exists. At least until now.

Biomechanical Sculptures

Christopher Conte is an artificial limb designer and robotics hobbyist. He has created some of the most awesome looking robotic sculptures I have ever seen on the internet. His works have a kind of "cyberpunk" or "steampunk" look to them and never cease to have a unique look of individuality. However, some of his stuff actually remind me a little bit of the Terminator movie franchise such as the pic above. Check out his gallery of works @ WIRED.

Death Ray of Cleveland

According to this historic article a death ray machine was created in Cleveland, OH in 1934. This death ray apparently had the capability of killing things with frightening efficiency "turning blood to water." Witnesses to demonstrations of the machine are said to have seen it kill dogs, cats, and rabbits instantly when the ray was directed at them. The ray was supposedly supressed by the government until it could be used for "defensive" military purposes. Check out the full original article scan HERE.

Stuck in Asphalt

This Flickr photo set from user STR820 has some truly unique images of random things that have been pressed into asphalt. Cans, keys, and random scraps of metal. The most interesting thing about these pictures is that they almost seem like fossils of our current time which one day may be studied like we study the dinosaurs. There is sort of an eerie nature to them. Check out the photo set HERE.

Cuban Taser Glove

This interesting glove was designed in 1935 by Cuban Cirilo Diaz. It packs a mighty punch at 1,500 volts from a 1/2 pound battery attached to the waist. It was designed to help with fights and crowds that could disturb the public peace. The device was orignally demonstrated in New York for law enforcement officials who were apparently pretty impressed. This crazy thing could be concealed easily and used without bystanders even realizing. Read the full article HERE.

Clever Smugglers

Smugglers and criminals in the United States seem to be getting smarter. Recently it has become known that they are copying the exterior logo designs on their vans from some of the most credible organizations in the country. They have decorated vehicles to mimic Walmart, FedEx, DirecTV, and even government organizations such as the Department of Transportation and the Border Patrol. They've been taking drugs, illegal aliens, and god knows what else across the border using this clever trick. But honestly, how smart are the people we have protecting our borders? You think that they'd check the vehicles anyway. I mean, it's clever but not that clever. C'mon guys. You can read the full story HERE.

Strange Little Guns

Tiny concealable guns have a great amount of variety and can be found in all sorts of shapes and disguises. Anonymous Vs. Scientology

Perhaps you have heard of the organization of internet users known as anonymous that congregate on the 4chan imageboards as well as others and have been known to be internet "trouble causers" or perhaps "heroes." Well they have apparently decided to start a war against The Church of Scientology. The way Anonymous conducts "war" usually is by flooding servers and causing them to crash with intense amounts of traffic. I'm not sure whether this is a joke or if this is serious but it is interesting nonetheless. The following YouTube video is a vocalization of the official statement which can be read below the video.

"Hello, Scientology. We are Anonymous.
Over the years, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation; suppression of dissent; your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye. With the leakage of your latest propaganda video into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who trust you, who call you leader, has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed. For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind–for the laughs–we shall expel you from the Internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form. We acknowledge you as a serious opponent, and we are prepared for a long, long campaign. You will not prevail forever against the angry masses of the body politic. Your methods, hypocrisy, and the artlessness of your organization have sounded its death knell.
You cannot hide; we are everywhere.
We cannot die; we are forever. We're getting bigger every day–and solely by the force of our ideas, malicious and hostile as they often are. If you want another name for your opponent, then call us Legion, for we are many.
Yet for all that we are not as monstrous as you are; still our methods are a parallel to your own. Doubtless you will use the Anon's actions as an example of the persecution you have so long warned your followers would come; this is acceptable. In fact, it is encouraged. We are your SPs.
Gradually as we merge our pulse with that of your "Church", the suppression of your followers will become increasingly difficult to maintain. Believers will wake, and see that salvation has no price. They will know that the stress, the frustration that they feel is not something that may be blamed upon Anonymous. No–they will see that it stems from a source far closer to each. Yes, we are SPs. But the sum of suppression we could ever muster is eclipsed by that of the RTC.
Knowledge is free.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us."

Area 51 Has Been Renamed

The controversial US Air Force base in Southern Nevada known as Area 51 has finally been renamed by the Air Force to Homey Airport. For years it has been criticized by UFO enthusiasts as a possible location for UFO research activity by our government. The only thing I can't believe is that it took the Air Force this long to think about changing the name. Whoever is in charge of PR hasn't been doing their job. Maybe now the base will be able to shed its reputation. The full story is available through the link.

Salvia Divinorum

How many of you weary net travelers out there have heard of the legal hallucinogenic plant called Salvia Divinorum? It is herb that is gaining popularity in the United States for its ability to produce mild to severe hallucinogenic effects depending on the person. The actual effects can vary greatly from person to person. If you haven't seen or heard of this you might want to check out some YouTube videos of people on it. It's kinda strange.
